Abstract
The main objective of the research was to review the implementation of the Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) In the Department of Agriculture of the Eastern Cape Province. According to the Public Service Regulations, the government has a duty and responsibility to deliver services to all its citizens. It however follows that the level of service delivery that such citizens has an irrevocable right to depends a lot on the maintenance of a healthy civil service workforce.
