Since the dawn of democracy South Africa has been striving forward in its pursuit to change lives of its citizens for the better. History has revealed that large numbers of people benefited in the programmes the country has set up to improve the living conditions of all people with special emphasis on the previously disadvantaged sections of our country. The country prides itself for the achievements that have been experienced since the first democratic elections in 1994 when the country chose democracy as its badge and a rainbow as its symbol. People from all corners of the country have abandoned their differences, came forward and embraced one another wholeheartedly and united in a shared vision for national progress on an increasingly competitive international stage.
