The organotin compounds were determined by optimized aqueous phase ethylation with sodium tetraethylborate method. The extracts were derivatized and the ethylated species were analyzed by gas chromatography. The instrument was fitted with a sensitive and selective flame photometric detector for Sn. The optimized method was verified by performing spiking experiments in natural water and seawater matrices and obtained good recoveries and reproducibility.Item Inorganic Chemistry: CHE 522, Degree Examinations November 2018(University of Fort Hare, 2018-11) Mbese, J.Z.; Purcell, W.Item Materials Chemistry 1: PAC 227, Degree Examinations November 2018(University of Fort Hare, 2018-11) Maqanda, V.; Oyedeji, O.Item Organic Chemistry: PAC 223, Supplementary Examination January 2019(University of Fort Hare, 2019-01) Manene, N.; Aberibigbe, B.Item Physical Chemistry 1: PAC 224, Supplementary Examination January 2019(University of Fort Hare, 2019-01) Maqanda, V.; Ngeva, Z.Item Physical Chemistry 3: PAC 324, Supplementary Examinations January 2019(University of Fort Hare, 2019-01) Tywabi-Ngeva, Z.; Bahadur, I.Item Physical Chemistry: PAC 324, Degree Examinations November 2018(University of Fort Hare, 2018-11) Bahadur, I.; Tywabi-Ngeva, Z.
