dc.description.abstractThe Land and Agricultural Policy Centre (LAPC) contracted the Institute of Social and Economic Research (ISER) at Rhodes University to undertake a zonal study in the Eastern Cape Region, under the auspices of the Natural Resources Management (NRM) Project. The wider terms of reference for this zonal study are described in the final report. ISER, in turn, contracted ARDRI to describe the agriculture of the study area. Specifically, ARDRI was to describe the resource base and the agricultural land use systems and their impact on the environment.
