The Department of Nursing and Public Health collection in DSpace at the University of Fort Hare provides access to the scholarly and research outputs of staff and students. The Department is committed to advancing knowledge and practice in nursing, public health, health promotion, epidemiology, community health, and healthcare management. The objective of the current study was to determine the self-esteem of people who suffer from schizophrenia. The study was aimed at gaining information about the self-esteem of the schizophrenic person living in the East-London area and seen by the psychiatrist at Cecilia Makiwane hospital during the year 2008.
