Item Ashton William's Notes(University of Fort Hare, 1843) University of Fort HareAshton Williams was born on the 13th of July 1817 in England and passed on the 29th of March 1897 in the Northern Cape, South Africa. He was admitted as a student at Lovedale college on the 8th of September1838. He was later ordained on the 23rd of June 1842. The translation was done by John White Appleyard, William Shaw, William Boyce and others. John White Appleyard was born in England in 1814 and was the son of Reverend John Appleyard.Item Mission Council of Kaffraria(University of Fort Hare, 1886) University of Fort Harethese are minutes of the Lovedale Missionary Institution which was founded on the 25th of November 1886 by the Mission Council of Kaffraria led by Dr Stewart for the purpose of assisting him in examining candidates for membership of the Lovedale Institution Church. The meeting was held in the Museum, New Building.
