Item Information sources on Agricultural and Rural Development in Ciskei and adjacent areas.(University of Fort Hare, 1990-10) Agricultural and Rural Development InstituteThis directory lists individuals and organisations involved in agriculture and rural development in Ciskei and the Border areas. Its purpose is to provide a ready source of this information- especially to those who, for any reason, are unaware of the potential assistance that is available to them. Part one of the directory lists individuals according to their subject areas. The information was obtained by distributing questionnaires to relevant institutions and organizations to identify the various fields and specialties of their staff. The subject reflects the choice of each respondent. Part two contains information relating to the Ciskei Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development, in the form of an organogram and telephone listing. Part three lists those private and state organisations active in agriculture and rural development operating in Ciskei and adjacent areas.Item Taung irrigation scheme: Redevelopment Planning.(University of Fort Hare, 1992) Agricultural and Rural Development InstituteThe second and third ARDRI reports, "Situation Analysis" and "Alternative scenarios and restructuring proposals," contain the motivation for the model elucidated in this report. The financial and other implications of the models are thoroughly discussed in these reports. In this report, a basic model is proposed in which certain concepts are considered fixed. At the same time, other variables allow for the flexibility needed to accommodate the varied skills, abilities, and interests of human beings.
