    Tiyo Soga's Journal
    (University of Fort Hare, 1936) Tiyo Soga
    Reverend Tiyo Soga was born in 1829 in Tutura near Gcuwa in the Eastern Cape and died on the 12th of August in 1871. He was a renowned journalist, minister, translator and composer of hymns. Fisrt entry on this journal was on the 20th of April 1857. He only documented minor details of his days from that day up until the 30th of August. This journal was presented to the University of Fort hare by his son, Reverend John Henderson Soga along with Rev. Tiyo Soga's letter book and Bible.
