The focus is on how educators prepare Grade 12 learners in the classroom situation. In three high schools in the Alice district. These 3 schools, one is semi-urban and two rural, were chief source of the data. These schools were analyzed in terms of the different percentages of passing in the end of year results. Learners were chosen according to merit order. Marked differences were found to exist in the learning achievement of the student population at these three types of schools.
