L. W Sebe, on Friday, 5 February 1982. Several Ministers accompanied Dr Sebe, two Deputy Ministers, and several wives. Major-General X C Sebe, Chief of Security, was also present. Prof J.A. Lamprecht, the Rector and Vice-Chancellor, and Mrs Lamprecht represented Fort Hare. The opening ceremony was held in the auditorium of the new building and was attended by over 200 members of the Academic Staff.en
